Inter handles Torino

Inter Milan won its second straight match in Serie A after opening the campaign with a draw as the Nerazzuri scored a 3-1 win over Torino on Sunday.

An own-goal from Torino's Marco Pisano put the hosts behind, and Inter added a second minutes later with a good strike from Maicon. Zlatan Ibrahimovic then scored shortly after the restart to give the defending champions a comfortable lead before Torino pulled a goal back in the 76th minute through Elvis Abbruscato.

The hosts started well but were unlucky to go behind midway through the first half. Inter benefited from two own-goals last week as they beat Catania, and fortune smiled on them once again as Mancini's attempted cross deflected off of Pisano and into his own net.

There was no doubt about Inter's second goal, which came just two minutes later. It was an unstoppable shot from Maicon that flew past Torino goalkeeper Matteo Sereni, and it gave the visitors a two-goal lead at halftime.

Some good counter-attack play after the break led to Inter's third goal as both Patrick Vieira and Mancini had a hand in the build up. Ibrahimovic was on the finishing end of the play as he took a pass from the former Roma midfielder and smacked a shot past Sereni from the middle of the box.

Abbruscato made it a 3-1 game in the 76th minute, and Nicola Amoruso had a his shot come back off the crossbar as Torino tried to get back into the game, their comeback effort fell short.

AC Milan picked up its first win of the season as they downed Lazio 4-1. Clarence Seedorf opened the scoring before Mauro Zarate's fourth goal of the season leveled the match for Lazio. However, Gianluca Zambrotta put Milan back in front before halftime, and both Pato and Kaka added goals after the break.

Juventus grabbed a 1-0 win over Cagliari with a first-half goal from Amauri, former AC Milan striker Alberto Gilardino scored two goals in the Champions League this past week, and he provided the lone strike for Fiorentina on Sunday in a 1-0 win for the Viola against Bologna.

Siena and Lecce finished 1-1, Palermo downed Genoa 2-1, 10 man Napoli held off Udinese to earn a 0-0 draw while Sampdoria earned a second draw in three games as they finished 1-1 with Chievo.
